But the chairs i really dont like very much at all. I mean they are not the worst chairs i have ever seen but i would prefer something a bit more modern like this Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ turns out i wont be getting new chairs but i am going to recover them.. The chairs on the other hand... Actually the seat colour isn't so bad, I just think that dark black frame doesn't go with anything! Could you paint the frames white, that would make it go better with the table and also the modern look like that chair picture you like...? Re: New table and chairs (pics inc) please help me!! 3Oct 23, 2009 6:45 pm Yeah I know, the chairs I am sure were not bought with the table.. i was hoping i could convice my husband to let me get new chairs.. but the budget just wont allow! The fabric on a couple of them is quite stained so im just going to do them all something new. I was thinking a charcoal or grey. OR being crazy and going a really out there colour like purple As for painting them I dont think i want to risk making them any more strange if they go wrong.. lol Moved In!!! Next up Landscaping! Im being a bit of a chair snob, I think once they are covered they will look heaps better. They have grown on me. I already dislike them less and less Moved In!!! Next up Landscaping! It came up under river white (which is what we are most likely choosing. We dont choose our granite until like 2 weeks before it goes in) But all different places will have different batches and colour variations etc. Ive seen river white that looks completely different. Also Bianco Romano can look very similar depending where you go... Moved In!!! Next up Landscaping! It would give them that old hospital/industrial look. If I can find a pic of what I mean, I will post it. "A dream you dream alone is only a dream. How about a silver metallic and black stripe fabric? A wide stripe would look good with the pattern in the stone - a narrow thin stripe would look too fussy. That would smarten up the whole suite. I wouldnt paint the chairs - it would be a difficult job and you may not like the result. Building in Bella Vista Waters Sydney. I think you need a dark color to offset the lightness that the table is going to bring to the room. You could paint it a wine color (which I love). There is a how to on the paint ideas website: http://paintideas.com/Paintideas/projects/88/elegant-chair I would maybe even reupholster the chair. or are those just cushions? Re: New table and chairs (pics inc) please help me!! 15Oct 27, 2009 10:45 am So ...my husband decided we can get new chairs if we want. But i couldnt get new ones with the old ones being in such good condition. It doesnt seem right very wasteful. And there are other things we could spend the money on - such as a new tv unit so im back to the re upholstering idea. I am only re covering the cushions. Painting seems like a risky and big task, especially with a mischevious 14 month old baby... so i am going to spotlight to buy some sample fabrics to see what i like. I had some black satin leftover from something i made ages ago and i tried it on and it looked really cool! But i think it might be a bit odd having satin covered dinner chairs I will post photos of the fabric samples on the chairs, next to the tables.. and hopefully i will get some opinions on what looks better.. Ohh and the Satin…..not a good idea for wear. Any children?
