NO...a Woodland Grey front door will blend in with the purple portico. You need it to be a highlight behind the purple. That’s why I suggested Dune, it will stand out with the purple. But a soft grey render around the window is a good idea. Yeah I'm not keen on having the woodland grey on the door as well, especially if it does have that green tinge to it I like the sound of the soft grey though!! Michelle have you used a soft grey on anything and can recommend it? Can't say I've looked at greys a lot. Thanks again Re: What colour render to use?? 44Oct 31, 2009 11:43 am Oi Michelle...what about White Duck (which isn't really white) would that work for Frogger's render...and do the door in 1/2 White Duck. Or Stepney, which we have as a feature on our front facade, it's a gorgeous grey, but would it go with Woodland Grey, we have Dune Facias with it. Sorry to talk around you Frogger The rest of our house is in Heifer but it's a very pale grey. Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: What colour render to use?? 47Oct 31, 2009 4:54 pm LOL lets keep the door as dune I had to send my plans back today (slide them under the door) and in the envelope I asked them to change the door to Dune lol Once the plans go back and they start ordering everything, thats it I can't change anything. So I put a note in asking them to change the door, so I didn't miss out because then I would have been up for $500 to change it. Re: What colour render to use?? 48Oct 31, 2009 4:57 pm SuH feel free to talk about me - as long as its all good ;0 Re: What colour render to use?? 49Nov 01, 2009 9:54 pm Is this what you call a soft grey?? (in the brochure it does appear slightly darker though) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Or what about a grey along the lines of shalegrey?? or is that to light?? A couple more greys that I found...am I getting close? lol Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: What colour render to use?? 50Nov 01, 2009 10:24 pm In my opinion Frogger, those greys are way too dark. They will clash with the Dune/Purple. These colours will make the house appear stark and cold. Re: What colour render to use?? 51Nov 02, 2009 5:30 am Frogger Is this what you call a soft grey?? Oh yes I forgot about that. Our colour consultant told us the same thing. Re: What colour render to use?? 55Nov 02, 2009 2:52 pm Great news…..NOT, Dulux haven’t put their Stepney on their new site. So I can’t show you the colour!!! (And how many times have I said in the past….externals need to be slightly dark as they wash out in the light.)
