Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Oct 13, 2009 7:27 pm Hi Michelle, I am planning on repainting my outdoor area. At the moment the rendered walls are Berger Tuscan straw, the concrete slab/decking is painted in berger Tabasco and the pergola is painted in Dulux Mexican red. The area is north and west facing so we get fair bit of sun during summer. I feel that the colour at the moment is making the area to hot. I was thinking of painting the walls either Hog Bristle, Buff it or Russian toffee. The pergola either in Antique white or Lexican qtr strength and the deck/concrete slab Wattyl Cumberland. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks Re: Help with a new Colour for outdoor area 2Oct 14, 2009 9:19 am Reno_girl Hi Michelle, I am planning on repainting my outdoor area. Nice by the way, you can do lots out there. I should have mentioned that there are 2 doors leading out to the deck area and have just had them replaced this week with French doors and probably sashless sidelites. Can't decide whether to go with fixed or sashless sidelites. The frame and doors are made of KDH and will be varnished. I am only planning on painting the outside, the inside walls are Antique white USA. What do you think? Thanking you Re: Help with a new Colour for outdoor area 6Oct 14, 2009 5:37 pm Reno_girl…not really in the mood to do colours tonight, I’m feeling a little depressed for some reason. I’ll take a look when I feel better; I’d hate to give you the wrong advice. Try the smiles again, they should work Use the standard ones, if I hit the "view more ones" I have problems with them occasionally also. With Dulux Senate for the pergola, I think this colour schemes pulls in the pool area And makes it a little bit more fun. What do you think? I never would have thought of blue for the pergola but I do like the depth of the Dulux senate. Would you paint all the posts and the balcony with that colour? Sorry to ask so many questions but what would you paint the floor with? Thanks once again Re: Help with a new Colour for outdoor area 13Oct 16, 2009 3:14 pm I’d do it in the Senate, it will be more balanced that way, plus a darker paint will last longer and show less dirt. Your outdoor area is going to look beautiful!!! Michelle did you mean that I should paint the deck and slab Senate as well? Re: Help with a new Colour for outdoor area 16Oct 16, 2009 5:52 pm Sorry reno girl….yes, posts, deck and slab in the Senate. Reveres your colours for the concrete garden near the back wall.
