Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Oct 08, 2009 7:30 pm Hi Michelle, I hope this will be the last time I seek your advice on paint colour to go with my white birch windows. Natural white was definitely too white. I have found dulux ecru which I think is quite a neutral beige colour and would go with the windows and the grey concrete floor and my wood furniture. What do you think of ecru? Also could you please offer some advice on whether I should use 1/2 or 1/4 strength in my living/kitchen area? My kitchen cupboards are white and the benchtops are ice snow ceasarstone. Thanks and Regards, Emac Re: What is your opinion on Dulux Ecru? 2Oct 08, 2009 11:22 pm I just saw Dulux Ecru on a wall in a Freedom store. It appeared a lot "lighter" on the wall than on the swatches I remember looking at. When I first saw it, I thought it was Dulux Seed Pearl, which is what we have on our walls. For what it's worth, I thought it looked great and would nicely compliment a clean white. Re: What is your opinion on Dulux Ecru? 3Oct 08, 2009 11:26 pm We used Ecru in our last house and I found it to be a fantastic colour. It adapts to your surrounds, by that I mean it can look like a different colour depending on what else is happening in the room....like furniture or cabinetry. Re: What is your opinion on Dulux Ecru? 4Oct 09, 2009 6:06 am Quite a few years ago, Ecru was the colour choice of just about everyone, decorators and others. As PK said, its adaptable to it surroundings. Thats the question you should be asking, really. Thanks for the suggestion. The space between shower and sinks was too tight. I agree about the toilet location. So I have tried two other options: The lower one is… 3 4555 these look like missing batts. Go up and take a look. But yeah moisure meter is a completely different tool 4 8402 Go to an actual paint store, not bunnings. Dulux even have trade centers. Don't have to be a trade to but their paint. 1 14021 |
