Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Sep 29, 2009 5:59 pm Ok this could possibly be the most stupid question but here it goes. Painting a feature wall that happens to have a door (external wall with door to the garage) do you paint the door as well? The door is in a light cream colour and the wall is at this stage going to be red or something as equally bright. Anyone Building again . . with Redink Pre-start 04/12 Keys - 03/13 Finishing off. . . There is no right or wrong to it. Personally I think it would look funny painted and would leave it white/ cream or timber etc. Re: Doo you paint the door 3Sep 29, 2009 6:44 pm In the end your room will have a feature wall that has a feature door.....if you don't paint it the same colour I find its hard painting a door though as 1 side will be 1 colour and the other side of the door will be another.... I would try and choose another wall for the feature if you can. Re: Doo you paint the door 4Sep 30, 2009 10:57 am I try to avoid using walls with doors in them as feature walls. The door just throws the whole thing out. Alternatively…. You can leave the door the original colour, but that makes 2 features on one wall. This is why I try to avoid them. Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com 2 2525 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7158 Thank you. That is really helpful.
