White Birch Window crisis. 6Sep 17, 2009 11:27 pm Thank you so much Magic J. Your reply and picture has just helped me so much. I hadn't considered fair bianca at all for the woodwork but it does draw together the window frames and walls very nicely. What colour did you do the ceiling? Also did the consultant have any other suggestions that you can remember? thanks again. Re: Somebody please help. White Birch Window crisis. 8Sep 18, 2009 8:00 am ![]() Thank you so much Magic J. We wanted it again in our current reno, but couldn't decipher the timber type on our receipt (we THINK it was kauri). It's really hard to get imported timber down here in Tassie anyway (most timber floors are Tas Oak or Tas Oak ![]() MagicJ I finally have my own reno thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=28335 The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue! ![]() Re: Somebody please help. White Birch Window crisis. 9Sep 18, 2009 11:14 am Hi Magic J, After your colour suggestions I did some research into "fair bianca". There seemed to be lots of people warning that is comes out very yellow. Were the trims in your house full or 1/2 strength? Did you think it turned out quite yellow? Sorry about all the fussy questions but I am trying to turn off the yellow in the windows so to speak. The picture of your house in Melbourne is beautiful so I am of course quite convinced by that. My builder's colour consultant told me to do hog bristle quarter on everything, walls, trims and ceiling. I think that would all be too flat and not the fresh look I want.
