Front entry wall..

Hi everyone..

As you know Ive been looking for ways to spruce up the front entry.. and I think Ill go for tiles.

Have a look at photo number 7 and 8 of the Imperial by Mcon - http://www.metricon.com.au/victoria/hom ... fault.aspx (replace *** with Mcon).

Do you know what this tile is??

I was guessing it would be Luxe Anthracite from Beaumont.. http://shopping.tile.com.au/TilesBathro ... 0x300.aspx

This one is different to the tile used in M's Imperial.. http://shopping.tile.com.au/TilesBathro ... 8x600.aspx but its SO expensive!!!

What do you think will look better.. the first or second tile?

I want to achieve the same affect as the Imperial.. our house colours are very similar to that display - white painting and white tiles. Look in my photos thread.

Or should I go back to the drawing board and do stacked stone??

Thanks!!!!!
Are the tiles metallic? I love them both! I personally prefer the brownish one as it is more interesting ( I love colour and variations in tiles) and it would make an impact in your entry however I dont think you can go wrong with either. Depends on how much area you have to tile as to whether you can justify the expense for the more expensive tile.
I prefer the tile over the stacked stone. The tile will give a classy sleek sophisticated look.
Hmm I LOVE stacked stone, but I often wonder how soon it will become 'outdated'.

If you were looking to go with one of those two tiles, my vote goes to the Luxe Anthracite
That tile is not Luxe Anthracite - the tile they've used is much darker. I have Luxe Anthracite on my bathroom floors, and it's more grey than black.

My personal opinion ... go for a more mettalic type tile .. the ones in the show home you pointed out look quite dark and at first glance can be mistaken for a painted wall. if you want to make a statement, I would pick a tile with more punch for a feature wall.

I also think that a tile size 600 x 300 or along those proportions would look better than a square tile as a feature tile. Don't know why ... just my opinion.

Good Luck ... you will know exactly what you like and soon as you see it ... I think you need to check out a few tile shops and see what jumps out at you.
