Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Sep 05, 2009 11:59 am Ground floor of my duplex is all open plan - lounge, dining, kitchen, entrance foyer (except laundry / utility area). Had my new kitchen installed recently and now need to select colours for repaint of whole house and for tiles to foyer. It sounds all a bit bland but I have begun amassing lots of red accessories, artwork, rugs etc Would prefer to use Dulux w&w paint. Will also be installing under stair storage (with doors) and built in entertainment unit which rep has said would look good if in satin finish poly in same colour as main wall colour - will this look OK? Thanks in advance for your collective colour expertise, that I am sadly lacking. Main colours throughout Internals Proposed colours (KE = keeping existing) Ceiling /Cornice - white on white Walls - main walls whisper white with Beige Royal feature OR Hog Bristle 1/4 with HB full Skirting / Architrave - maple stained (KE) Windows / Reveals / Frames - maple stained (KE) Exposed Beams - not applicable Doors - same as selected for main walls (Satin finish) Window Treatments - verticals or timber blinds Flooring - blackbutt flooring (satin finish not gloss - didn't want to show every bit of dust!) Carpet Tiles or Vinyl - tiles in entrance foyer - no idea what to get will be adjacent to blackbutt stairs and timber flooring Lighting - halo tri mounted on white backing plate (KE) New Kitchen colours are: cupboards - Laminex - Moleskin benchtops - QQ Coral Reef splashback - starphire colour #27 - if anyone knows what this is in english I would appreciate knowing (hopefully a dulux colour) floor - blackbutt Cheers Aquagal (looking forward to life after renos) Re: Colour Advice 2Sep 05, 2009 12:07 pm Got any pics of the areas in question or is it a new build? As for tiles - suggest looking at porcelain as opposed to ceramic (more durable). progress viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20401 sculptures viewtopic.php?f=36&t=26607 pole trouble viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25988 Re: Colour Advice 3Sep 07, 2009 5:06 pm Sorry, I’ve got some work to do.
