I did a drive by at the ponds yesterday and didn't find many that resembled my home. Kinda frustrating but at least i know my house will be semi different Villina with Trend facade Sydney Re: help with external colour scheme 4Aug 28, 2009 10:14 am Interesting design with the angles. I like houses that are a little bit different like this. In terms of colour, it's a lot of white and grey. Not that it can't work but some colour here and there would be nice. Just my 2¢ worth. Re: help with external colour scheme 5Aug 28, 2009 10:45 am that picture is from the brochure. That is not how i want it. thats why I was asking for other opinions. I won't be getting stack stone and the columns in front of the garage will most likely be rendered only. if anyone would like to play with the colours that would be very much appreciated. I need more ideas Villina with Trend facade Sydney Re: help with external colour scheme 8Aug 30, 2009 11:33 pm Hi Beebob, Similar facade to what we will be having. We are going with warmer colours, mainly as our main colour was used on out last house and it goes with a lot, so if we choose different feature colours down the track, we can. Also our house faces north and anything lighter we would probably blind the neighbours across the road. http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/ab75/andy_min/Frontelevationcolourv2.jpg Colours are not very accurate on the image but they are Dulux Ecru, Dulux Mud Skipper (90% sure on this one) and Dulux Monastary Mantle. We will have a few timber details through the facade as well. Windows, Gutters etc will more than likely be Black, roof which you wont see will be Jasper. For colours on these types of facades I highly recommend a drive by of Bella Vista Waters and Coomera (Genesis Estate) in Qld. (near Dreamworld). Its good to see Colourbond colours in the real world and other peoples colour combos. The one Michelle helped post up. If anyone could help naming the colours that they see on it that would be great. I am not getting the stackstone though Villina with Trend facade Sydney Re: help with external colour scheme 11Sep 01, 2009 7:31 am Nice house, I love the colours in the brochure pic. When we built our first home we flew up to the Gold Coast to Robina I think it's called, they had a huge new sub division happening then with fantastic modern homes, it was worth it.... the things ya do Re: help with external colour scheme 12Sep 03, 2009 7:24 am can anyone help me identify the colours that michelle has attached for me? roof and gutters: monument garage:surfmist window frames: ultra silver eaves: white soffit: white and and the rest seem some sort of grey Villina with Trend facade Sydney Re: help with external colour scheme 13Sep 03, 2009 9:02 am Beebob can anyone help me identify the colours that michelle has attached for me? roof and gutters: monument garage:surfmist window frames: ultra silver eaves: white soffit: white and and the rest seem some sort of grey see colobond for the first two. http://www.colorbondcolours.com/go/home/residential/see-our-colours/standard-range ultra silver i'm not sure. You have to remeber the drawring has been drawn with a shadow effect on some walls. Its very nice though!! Ohhhand the grey, I'll try and look for that tonight for you. Eaves: white Soffit: white….you don’t have any of these!!! Render: Dulux Raku – (deep Grey) Other walls: C/Bond Surfmist, not sure if that’s what they are, but that’s what I think you should use. So we are thinking about getting just bricks instead and doing either rendering or bagging it later. any suggestions on brick colours? From the PGH standard range? thanks Villina with Trend facade Sydney Re: help with external colour scheme 18Sep 09, 2009 2:11 pm Hi BB, which of the range is considered "standard"? Re: help with external colour scheme 19Sep 09, 2009 9:05 pm Alrite the standard bricks are (i hope the names make sense to you) - Opal Collection - Pinto - Victorian - Mocha - Iguana - Casa Porcelana - Colonial - Sorbetto - Cement - sand - ciara - gravel - rosso - salsa - curran blend (80% victorian, 20% edwardian) - cottage blend 980% coral, 20% pearl grey) - casa rojo - casa toro - edwardian - grange blend (70% coral, 30% vanilla) - mimosa - Pearl Grey - Camello - Menta - Classic blend (80% vanilla, 20% pearl grey) - Coral - Vanilla - Crema - Regency - Crown Blend (80% Colonial, 20% Edwardian) - Chapel Blend (70% colonial, 20% edwardian, 10% Victorian) - Castle Blend (60%, 20% Edwardian, 20% colonial) - Clifton Blend (70%, 20% Regency, 10% Victorian) - Mews Blend (80% Pearl grey, 20% Vanilla) - Bungalow Blend (80% pearl grey, 20% Coral) www.pghclay.com.au THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!! Any ones opinion or help is greatly appreciated Villina with Trend facade Sydney Re: help with external colour scheme 20Nov 17, 2009 9:32 pm Hi beebob, I also have to find a brick in the PGH standard builders range. My tastes are traditional rather than modern. It looks like you will be looking for modern style bricks (greys, whites and browns) judging from your house plan. I will tell you the ones i like anyway: edwardian Colonial curran blend (80% victorian, 20% edwardian) Crown Blend (80% Colonial, 20% Edwardian) Chapel Blend (70% colonial, 20% edwardian, 10% Victorian) Castle Blend (60%, 20% Edwardian, 20% colonial) Just so you know, the blends cost more (well for me anyway) as they come in seperate piles and the brickies have to physically mix them together. For example chapel comes in a pile of colonial, a pile of edwardian etc...My builder told me it will cost approx $1600 extra to get a blended brick rather than a straight colour. You need to find out from your builder if they charge more for blends and if so how much. I would suggest looking at colours that already match your selected colours. Anyway i hope this helps.
