Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Aug 18, 2009 11:37 pm What a nightmare! Im such an idiot . We currently have the freedom blinds "havana" in cherry, although i dont know why they called them cherry they're not what id call really red. Anyway, i called to see what sizes they had and was told they were being discontinued, which was devastating as I love them and want them for the new house. So I rushed down with mum and bought 5 blinds, about $900 all up they had been slightly discounted. I went straight to the new house and to my horror...only one size was correct...because i hadn't taken the plans. Great. I was short in bedrooms 1 and 2 and 90 cm short in the lounge. Stupid me thinking yes there are four panels of 90cm in lounge (there are five) and the bedrooms are 1920mm (yes bedroom 3 is not 1 and 2 though they are 2400mm!!!) Pretty sure i was going through the tea towel barrel when she said they weren't exchangeable as they were a sale item. So there is me walking back into freedom half hour later... and the darlings exchanged them!!!! had to order 2 2400mm for bedroom 1 and 2 from victoria but they were so kind, they didnt have to help me but they did! So anyone thinking about buying freedom blinds or who have half sets and yet to get the rest, not sure which other ranges are going out, some are discounted though... hope the havana cherry goes with the full hog bristle and quarter trims, we dont have architraves in this house but will in new one but the walls are sierra snow at the current house and they look great with that colour. I didnt buy blinds for the new house kitchen, dining or bathroom as I think they're too dark for those areas... that was a long rant...was wondering what everyone else has done with blinds/curtains, lighter for the kitchen/bathroom areas? same everywhere?? just curious... Re: Blinds- got them!! 2Aug 18, 2009 11:44 pm Wait Im going to re-phrase that last bit, DO YOU THINK the wooden blinds are going to look alright with the hog quarter trims? seems a bit odd putting the wood on such a light colour but in saying that white blinds would look lighter than the trims anyway...?? what did all the quarter paint trim ppl do for blinds?
