Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Aug 15, 2009 2:38 pm Hi All, hoping that anyone might be able to help with paint colours that fit a french provincial type scheme. Love the look of white, soft grey, light timber - you get the idea. Not so fond of browns, or yellow undertones (the house is currently mission brown, cream and peach.) I'm concerned that a blue based grey/white will be too cold - even though I like the look of these in samples, its different when you are living in it! Our floors are likely to be formica timber lamintate in smoked cedar. Kitchen and benchtops are still up for debate, depending on the paint colour. Appreciate any suggestions or pictures you might have! THANKS Re: Paint colours that suit "French Provincial" schemes 2Aug 15, 2009 3:35 pm The whites you have mentioned may seem cold, but you are having a timber floor, which will add warmth, so the look will be balanced out. Any thoughts on paint colours? We are thinking a Mist Grey laminate for the kitchen, with caesar stone benches in "nougat". Appreciate your help! If you show them the photos they should be able to figure it out for you straight away 1 1612 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7158 Thank you. That is really helpful.
