This is big in the UK, I can’t wait for it to get here in a big way, I think it will be popular. RE- Glass splash backs. I wish I'd done more research and also come across your question. We were originally going to have glass splashback in our kitchen but our builder said no we couldn't cos' of the feature window we had opted. The feature window will be where the cooking appliances are....and they didn't want to have a glass splashback customised for this space - they said it would be too expensive.....so we went with tiles instead.... Maybe the next time - if I get the courage and nerve to rebuild in the future.... I think we talked about that with someone on the forum a while back. Seriously giving it some thought for when I do a full kitchen make over! It worked out well (on a small scale for my sample board) and my tutor loved it so much she showed it to her clients too. I didn't think about this for my own kitchen funnily enough until now after reading your post! Use this method to create some feature points in the bathroom and ensuite and powder room....since we didn't go for feature walls in these rooms when we chose the tiling.....Though that said, it'll probably be cheaper to tile than to get a sheet of glass cut to size......Hmmm...
