But if it is an issue colour wise, go a Dune or similar in colour. PLEASE HELP, D@N! 22Aug 10, 2009 8:50 pm Hi Michelle, Thanks for your advice Today we were heading down to Hopetoun, and found something different. The colour consultant told us, as the part of the promotion, we could only render the Front Projection (Around Master Bedroom). So, we have to change our current render plan. If we leave the two portico piers with bricks only, what colour do you think is good to render the front projection? Dune is still good or not? Or, our another option is, we pay to render the portico piers, together with the front projection render in the promotion. Which option do you think better? and what colours do you suggest? Sorry to bother you Michelle, really need your help! Re: Just got a similar front elevation! PLEASE HELP, D@N! 23Aug 11, 2009 4:58 pm I actually think once you render around the windows you won’t need the piers done. So is the rendering on the double windows and the 1 long single window...Or just the double window? Yes Dune is still good!! PLEASE HELP, D@N! 24Aug 13, 2009 1:30 am Hi Michelle, Thanks for your suggestion. I didn't explain very well. Actually, our estate asks every dwelling must have at least 25% render on facade. Rendering the portico can not meet that requirement. So, our CSC suggested we should render the front projection of the master bedroom (I think it refers to the whole bedroom including the 3 windows), although I personally still think the portico render should be ok for the 25% requirement. Michelle, please see the below two options. I am very bad at photoshop. What I could do is just changing some colours on the basis of d@n's job. Forgive me for my unprofessional ugly drawing, please just focus on the colour schemes. Option 1, Rendering the front projection of the master bedroom, and leave the two portico piers with bricks. Like change the colour schemes or something, in the second photo, although I personally think surfmist brings the balance between the the surfmist garage door and the white windows, but it still looks weird together with the dune render. Thanks again, Michelle! Re: Michelle, still need your HELP, please see page 2 ... thanks 25Aug 13, 2009 6:57 am Ummmmm, what ugly drawings??? They look great! If I could do that I would be very happy! OR has Dan been in and fixed them? I prefer the first pic, the colours are balanced, and to me, that’s important. What coloured driveway are you having? Always remember to look at the big picture, that is the ALL of the selections going in, on and around your home, they make a difference to the final outcome. Hi Michelle, Thanks for the comments! I am not sure about the driveway colour. Porter Davis doesn't provide the driveway. I need to find the contractor to do it after handover. Still confused about the colours. I love the front projection of the master bedroom. Red bricks, white mortar and white windows. So, I still want to leave them with bricks. What do you think about the option 2 ? I mean render the portico plus the two side walls of the garage door (the garage door will have a wooden infill above it). I can not find the balance of the colours. I don't know surfmist can work well with Dune or not? Michelle, could you please give me some advice on colours of the renders and the garage door? Dune and Surfmist are not my only choices, maybe we can change to other colours? Totally confused , need your help! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Many many thanks! Render – Dune Garaged Door – Dune or Woodland Grey We can throw colours around all we want Jo. The important thing here is that when you see one you like, you stop looking. That’s when the confusion sets in. And trust me; if you think you’re confused now, once I start throwing more colours at you, you want sleep at night. Start a colour board, I think you need one.
