Colour appointment tomorrow morning! I can't find the appropriate front elevation for my house, so I copied one from Rebekah's thread. It looks similar with my house. Can you do me a favor to do the photoshop for me, D@N? Thanks a lot! http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c308/beck80/Hamilton%20252/rebekah.jpg Could you please do me a favour to ps the surfmist look and the dune look? Gutter to match the roof tiles, and fascia to match the garage door. Also, the reason why I choose Surfmist as the main colour is I want the house looks lighter. Could you please give me some advice on gutter, render, front door and garage door? Re: Need help for my exterior colours! 3 days to go! 2Aug 06, 2009 8:54 pm Great colors! I'm a bit biased though.. I think I'd choose something other then woodland grey for the gutters.. ours appears to be very greenish and I'd probably have chosen something different now that I think about it. I think Dune would be lovely on the portico as a contrast to the surfmist garage door and downpipes.. however if you love to match.. maybe go for surfmist. Good luck!! Thanks Erin, I still can not decide to put which coulour onto the gutter. I love woodland grey before, but now confused again. The render on the portico as well, originally we did not want to involve too many colours, surfmist was our first option.. however the house maybe looks too light with the white surfmist. Dune is good or not? Help, help, guys! I really appreciate your comments! Re: Need help for my exterior colours! 3 days to go! 4Aug 07, 2009 6:01 pm I had Dune typed out for you last night, then saw you wanted S/mist, my suggestion is to replace all the S/mist with Dune. Gutters in Ironstone. For the front door, I would look at a couple of shades darker than Dune, I’ll be back in later and pick a colour for you. Or the door can be Ironstone as well. Thanks a lot Michelle! Dune is a fantastic colour. Did you think surfmist is too light? The reason I went with surfmist is our window will be in white, so before I thought surfmist garage door and fascia could match the white window frame. Did you mean replace all the surfmist with Dune? so: Gutter: Ironstone Fascia: Dune Downpipes: Dune Garage Door: Dune Render for the portico piers: Dune Front Door: Ironstone? or another colour you pick for me later Re: Need help for my exterior colours! I can see now why you had gone with the Sirfmist. I prefer your original colours now after seeing the photo, I think the surfmist will give you the contrast you are looking for with the Ironstone roofing. I’m still going to suggest the front door in Ironstone Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Need help for my exterior colours! I’m still going to suggest the front door in Ironstone Hi Michelle, I just added this photo To be honest, I don't know whether the render in this photo is Surfmist or not. Forgive me I am really bad at coulours. But the Bricks I will use is Jarrah, do you think Jarrah still can work well? What about the window frame? Should I change it to a darker colour (like Ironstone or Jasper) as well? Thanks Michelle, so nice of you! Re: Need help for my exterior colours! What do you think using Surfmist and Dune together? Dune for the portico, and surfmist for others? Or stick with one colour will be better? Re: Need help for my exterior colours! Thanks Michelle Yesterday, we were heading down to the gallery to see the real coulours. I found the gutter (Ironstone) is a bit darker than the roof tiles (Barranundi). Is that ok? Or is there any other colours could match the Barranundi better than Ironstone (for example Windspray, Shaley Gray)? Or among those coulours, Ironstone is still the best? And, what do you think the downpipes? Personally, I love the Surfmist, but I don't know whether downpipes should be the same coulour with the gutter (Ironstone)? Many thanks! And, have a nice weekend! Re: Just got a similar front elevation! PLEASE HELP, D@N! 15Aug 09, 2009 4:50 pm Very nice Dan! Hi Michelle, After seeing the brilliant job by D@N, I fell in love with Dune! What's your opinion regarding the two pictures? And, what do you think about the white window frames if I go with Dune? Should I keep them white or change to a colour close to Dune? Below is a picutre I found from our forum. Thanks Cozmo. It shows the Jarrah Bricks, Barrunandi Roof, off white mortar and the white window frames in the real world. The render in this picture is Surfmist, but I will go with Dune. Please kindly give me some advice!
