Yes, I know .......I don't always take your advice Our bathrooms are all the same - taupe theme - ivory tiles with taupe floortiles & chocolate feature tiles : Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The bathrooms need brightening. I"ve had a few suggestions on my thread of maybe lavender, red, black/white. What do you think ? Are the colours below too muted ? All lovely shades but lack oomph! I noticed the Oeko-Tex tag, may I ask what brand those towels are? aldi I've bought their towels before & they're great! Not because I don't like them but becuase I've had the burgundy for years and was hoping for a change. I think it'll have to be burgundy. Chocolate would be gorgeous but it'd fade quickly Thankyou ladies.......oh & bam, again what shade of green do you see ? Re: Bathroom Accessories 14Aug 05, 2009 10:11 am I like the green in the pic. im not very daring either, so dont think I would fancy bright towels. I actually have some towels that I bought which I think would be perfect colours for you to consider. ill take a pic when i get home if I remember Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated! Nice and bright without being too out there Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We have cholcolate coloured towels in our ensuite at the moment, but I like the sound of lime green as well Re: Bathroom Accessories 16Aug 05, 2009 12:43 pm OK Mish & MaleenaH, I have to agree about the orange & green, particularly in the pics - not bad at all. Just have to get my head around them, as my tastes are rather conservative read 'boring' I like your suggestions too SuH - very nice & classical Rachelle, I did think of white for a millisecond, then remembered who would be using the towels - my lot ?? I don't think so Thanks Bam Wow JoK, I love teal - it looks fabulous against white . Not sure how it would go with taupe shades though. Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Re: Bathroom Accessories 17Aug 05, 2009 12:51 pm Thanks Southies! Would never have thought of them for towels. Dare I hope they have sheets too? I've been trying to decide which different brand to try.I need new sheets and I'm so tired of having to wash new sheets multiple times to get the new smell out. They don't make sheets like they used to. I remember when you could wash towels on the hot cycle. (Apparently it's better for the machine too. They now say you should do a maintenance wash of the machine every couple of months mainly because no-one does the weekly hot wash of things like towels and tea towels any more, and constant cold washes, and also use of softeners, lead to a build up of scrud.) These days towels are labelled wash on warm, or even luke-warm, and wash deep colours separately. If anything should be colourfast I would have thought it would be towels! I mean to say what happens when you dry the warm water off yourself with a dark towel? Obviously nothing particularly visible, otherwise there would be complaints, but still . . . Re: Bathroom Accessories 19Aug 11, 2009 12:09 pm My vote is for a light shade of aqua/teal. It would be beautiful and brightening. Something like the towels in this picture..
