Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jul 27, 2009 8:22 pm Ok, so we have less than 2 weeks till our colours appointment and we are still trying to make major decisions. Basically I'm planning on a neutral pallette in the hope that it will be 'timeless'. But I'm worried it's going to be too boring. Would really appreciate some feedback on these internal colours. Wall colour will probably be Burlap Beige or Hog Bristle 1/4 strength but really don't know!!! Kitchen Benchtops: Caesar stone Avalanche Doors: Laminate in Moleskin (might like some overhead cupboards in Peruvian Clay???) with a tiled spashback. These tiles are about 100 x 40 and will be laid landscape. Laundry (full bench with cupboards underneath length of Laundry) Benchtops: Laminate Quicksand Door: Laminate Alpine Haze Floor Tiles: Essential Mocha 300x300 Wall Tiles: Donkey Grey 300x100 Bathroom Benchtops: 20mm Caesar stone in Sahara Door: Laminate Pumice Floor tiles: Sandstone Beige 400x400 Wall tiles: Ice Cream 200x300 Feature tile: stoney squary thingys probably running vertically down the shower and across and down the bath hob???? Ensuite Benchtops: 40mm Caesarstone in Sahara Doors: Laminate Alabaster (no pics) Floor tiles: Limestone Bone Gloss 330x330 Wall tiles: Windsor Marfill Ivory 300x600 layed portrait Feature tile: Mosaic Glasstone Vanilla in similar layout to bathroom Would really like some feedback from those more experienced than I. They are classic and timeless. You can change the look with different coloured towels etc. You've done well. Judie Re: Kitchens, bathrooms and colours- ahhhhhhh! 3Jul 27, 2009 11:45 pm I think your kitchen colours are good, especially with darker above bench cupboards. I think Oyster Linea would be nice on your above bench cupboards too- but then I like mixing solid colours with non-solids... We are using the same bathroom mosaics (the full stone ones) as you in our ensuite, I think they are gorgeous! I like all your bathroom and laundry selections. Well done, I think you have done a lovely job Re: Kitchens, bathrooms and colours- ahhhhhhh! 4Jul 28, 2009 6:48 pm I think they are great. I did the same thing and went with neutrals. You will be able to throw in some bright tea towels or bath towels or mats, placemats, etc and change them to whatever suits your mood. I have parchment lower cabinets and peruvian clay upper cabinets. My benchtop is polished concrete rather than cs and the tiles are similar too. The colour contrast between the cream tiles and the lower cupboards is not so much in RL. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff245/rebel_radar/DSCN0690.jpg http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff245/rebel_radar/DSCN0686.jpg Re: Kitchens, bathrooms and colours- ahhhhhhh! 6Jul 30, 2009 8:03 pm I love your colours too and I am using the Quicksand for my kitchen and bathroom benches too. I can't wait to see it finished. Re: Kitchens, bathrooms and colours- ahhhhhhh! 7Jul 31, 2009 6:36 am whoo hoo, very happy with those selections!
