Colour selections have been absolute torture and at the end of the day I'm really not happy with what we've selected but I've been told its too late to change, so what can you do One thing I can plan before we have to actually have to paint them ourselves, are the feature walls. I am looking to have feature walls in the lounge/dining room, master bedroom, living area and activity room. Our house is painted in White Duck Quarter by Dulux http://www.dulux.com.au/html/specifier/ ... =16&c=B1Q& Our living area, activity room and hallways will be tiled in this tile http://img.alibaba.com/photo/240004226/ ... e.summ.jpg. Our master bedroom and lounge/dining area will be both carpeted in a dark charcoal colour. I am thinking in the carpeted areas, stick with the cooler tones to match the White Duck walls and charcoal carpet and perhaps use a dark grey/dark purple for the feature walls. For the activity and living areas go for warmer tones to match the White Duck walls and latte coloured tiles, and perhaps go for netural/chocolates/coffee colours for the feature wall to stick with the warm vibe. My question is, what do you all think about these schemes? Can a house be divided into warm/cool colour schemes? Does anyone have any ideas for other colours I can use for feature walls? Does anyone have any pics of their own colour schemes that sound similar? Thanks for your help Boy I have been down this road many times with clients. So from a professional’s point of view. Let the builder do the basic colour throughout, move in get your furniture in place then post me some photos. There’s no hurry for the feature walls, especially since you guys are painting them. Take your time and save the money by doing it yourself. I will help you once you have moved in……this is the best way. I like to see the surroundings when I can, floor plans are good but pics are better!
