We have brought some new stuff but all our other pieces are in storage & will be coming out, not sure if they will look awful yet. Will have to wait & see. I think that if you love that blind then get it, the sample was lovely. We now have a blog. http://allaboutthebuild.blogspot.com/ Re: Translucent Blind sample - Opinions please 22Jul 18, 2009 8:06 pm Can I just add, I love your formal couch!! SO elegant!! Would love one of those myself!!! Magic J PS Also love your choice of blind fabric, I think it's gorgeous - but will leave comment on where is should be used to those who are not decorating-challenged like me !! Re: Translucent Blind sample - Opinions please 23Jul 18, 2009 8:26 pm thechlochlo love the Dining table but the chairs Maybe just Maybe they slowly, for some reason break one by one ( no idea why must have been the furniture removers lol ) then maybe DH will agree for you to get some new Chairs for the Dining table, I think the Table would look fine with some up to date chairs then all will be sorted. Now, that's definitely what I want to hear ! Thanks MagicJ.......only had to wait 20 years for it ...lots of hand-me-downs over the years in the meantime because we didn't want to have our furniture wrecked by 4 kids. If it is a few roller blinds, would it be hard for the pattern flow or match the next roller blind? I hope I am making sense. It may not look as good if they don't match. But it is a very nice pattern. How much light does it allow through? THat might be a problem for the doors that need several blinds. I believe the fabric is only 2mt wide. But if you wanted to take up Mich's idea and just do it in the formal lounge, I think a plain white blind in the other room wouldn't look too busy. I love your stripey couch too! Beautiful. Re: Translucent Blind sample - Opinions please 39Jul 19, 2009 9:55 am JohnAndTarin so are you going for it? I have to check with the supplier whether he can match the pattern, where the openings need more than 1 blind. But if it is possible, then yes I 'll go with it. Definitely! It's the only one I liked, so I've learnt to go with my instincts. I'll also ask whether it's available in a blockout. If it is then I've got another room where these can go. Thanks donuts, I'll probably do all the windows. Our place will be simple & low maintenance; I won't be using much in the way of home decor items to liven it up. So feel that the blinds will add 'something' in lieu. Thanks, my stripey couch is my most loved piece in the house.
