French Provincial

I think this is the style I like. I have had modern years ago, now I like this older style, correction I love both, but now I am leaning towards the french country.
I like country without going overboard with all the frills and too much clutter.
Is there anyone else on here that likes this style? I would love to see some photos of any room

What makes things a little harder is the placement of my furniture as my husband is in a wheel chair, and I can't have lounges etc exaclty where I would like them.
Anyhow, I would love some help with this type of decor.

French Provincial is pretty easy to pull off. It all revolves around the type of furniture you buy. And since it’s a pretty popular style now there is lots on the market.

Stormy loves this style, her house is going to be gorgeous when it's all decked out. Do a search on her posts or her blog, she has put up a few pics in the past which should give you some ideas

I love it too but no way I could pull it off at the moment... I would need a lot more money and all new furniture! One day ::smile::

Oh yeah, I really like this style too! I've been looking through a lot of magazines, Country Style Living is a good one.

That lounge room is a mix of Provencal and Art Deco.

Oh OK, I was thinking maybe I don't like French Provincial after all :lol:

I have noticed in a lot of the magaznes they seem to have white lounges, lovely, but not practical.
At them moment I have a coloniel lounge, (hate it) I used to love it, but I had it re-covered. (big mistake)
I had another look at that lounge room,Michelle, the lounge is nice, its the rest I am not so sure about

Sharon, all I did was Google French Provencal in images, see what you can find.

There are books out in the book stores on French Provencal, sneak at peek at some of those.
That’s if you are still going that way.
