Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jun 04, 2009 11:26 pm Arrgghh! I thought l was set on my kitchen colours, but now that we have actually started building l think l want to change them again, especially after and seeing elses everyones beautiful shiny benchtops!! I have selected Natural Tigris for the benchtop and Champagne for the cupboards and l am really happy with these, but really, l would ideally love a glossy laminate for the benchtop. So Michelle, is there anything in Diamond gloss laminate that is very close to the Natural Tigris? I've looked at some colour charts online and the Persian Stone seems, in some samples to be similar but in other samples not similar at all. Seeing that you deal with real life samples everyday, could you please tell me how close the Persian Stone is? or suggest other closer alternatives, if any?? Thanks heaps! Re: Thinking off upgrading to gloss laminate...need help please? 2Jun 05, 2009 1:32 pm Hi Thorney, My BF has the Natural Tigris and it is lovely, I really like it, with your champagne cupboards, it will look stunning, but I also know what you mean by wanting the gloss look, which I also really like, hence me putting it in our house also. I am liking the persian stone though...mmmmm no wonders you can't decide! Best of luck, I hope you can find something you are REALLY happy with. Re: Thinking off upgrading to gloss laminate...need help please? 3Jun 05, 2009 7:47 pm Well l took all my samples to the Laminex place today. I wrote off the Persian Stone as soon as l saw it and there was absolutely nothing remotely close to Natural Tigris in a gloss finish I went to another kitchen place to check out the Wilsonart ranges and despite the Desert Sand (l think it was?) being a nice match, too nice in fact (it was very similar to my floor tile) again there was nothing else that suited. In the end the kitchen place chick and l both agreed that Natural Tigris was the best laminate to go with. I left feeling happy and reassured Re: Thinking off upgrading to gloss laminate...need help please? 4Jun 05, 2009 8:10 pm Well….you beat then! So all set then thorney?
