Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 30, 2007 9:41 am Hi there,
Our new house is fairly open plan from the kitchen living and meals areas. I have gone with chocolates, lighter browns and greens mostly in this area. We have dark brown carpet throughout and light coloured timber floors. I'm wondering if having different colour schemes in different rooms would be too much or should I keep it all pretty much the same throughout. I'm thinking of having the siting room near the entrance of the house with reds and greys, but then just down the hallway a bit you hit the kitchen etc which is browns and greens. I have no idea! Re: Different Colour themes? 2Apr 30, 2007 9:45 pm So far, so good!
From what you have described so far, I think you are safe, AND its sound nice!! Good luck! Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Different Colour themes? 4May 06, 2007 1:28 pm Hi Dazcla -
I agree - the colours you are describing sound great! Another possible colour you could consider is a rusty red/orange - some nice examples are Wattyl 'Earthenware', Wattyl 'Salsa Rossa', Dulux 'Garfield' and Dulux 'Burnt Earth' - these red/oranges are successful when teamed up with greys, as well as browns. Good luck and I would love to hear about how it all looks when you finish! yep you need a joint, foam is easiest, will look fine once rendered with a joint. 2 5233 Hi, have purchased a house with 2 single garage doors. The Centre pillar one side sits proud to the other. Can I change 2 doors into one. Please see picture. 0 6336 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7157 |
