I love that one, I think with the white tile splash back it would look lovely and fresh.
Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge Re: Stressing about this decision! 24May 27, 2009 9:30 pm We have amaretto stone for our bathroom benchtops, and we've teamed it with Formica Mocha, which is a rich dark brown. I have no idea if that's any help to you....probably not, if you want a lighter look. I don't have any fabulous photos of the bathrooms, and it's too dark to take one now, so this is the best I have: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Same colours in the laundry (the overheads are Laminex Moleskin): Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Stressing about this decision! 26May 27, 2009 9:43 pm I posted a reply to this, but it hasn't come through. Hmmm...maybe I'm too tired to hit 'submit' properly! Basically I said, that I wouldn't hesitate to spend the extra $500 if you are really uneasy about your original colour selection. You have to look at it every day, and in the grand scheme of things, sadly $500 is a drop in the ocean. You can always try and save that money off things like blinds/driveway/carpet if you shop around and negotiate. Once they're done - that's it, there's no going back and you'll kick yourself every time you look at them if you don't change it when you have the chance. Good luck, colour choices are the hardest. Oh - thats right...I also said I like parchment. I think the stipple cocoa is too dark. Sorry... Re: Stressing about this decision! 27May 27, 2009 9:50 pm Thanks everyone! I need to go and find my bigger samples and have another look (house looks like a bomb hit it - or two dogs and a busy me!). I'll go back to the laminate shop on Saturday and have a look at some other options. I am okay with spending the extra as its such a big thing to have to live with. I don't want question it every day when I walk in. I LOVE all my other selections, so I want to LOVE this one too! No apologies needed! My tac-home-ter: Been in 8 months! Re: Stressing about this decision! 28May 29, 2009 12:25 pm Wow good choice on your flooring - we chose the same one last night! We had originally been looking at benches close to your original post too but after chosing the floors I don't think it goes.. Looking at the selections everyone has put together I'm really liking the look of the all parchment, really nice, clean and simple looking All the best with your selections, can't wait to hear how you go Re: Stressing about this decision! 29Jun 03, 2009 8:31 pm These are the colours we have chosen!! Timber flooring, parchment lower cabinets and peruvian clay for the upper cabinets. Our benchtops are very similiar, although not stone but polished concrete. Fingers crossed I have my kitchen in by this time next week! Please excuse the blurry pic! http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff245/rebel_radar/PICT0027.jpg Re: Stressing about this decision! 30Jun 03, 2009 8:44 pm nice taste fairy blue! Please post up photos as soon as it's in! I'm curious to see it as we have such similar selections! I have actually decided to stay with the original colours. After a great deal of consideration (and stress!) I spoke with the interior designer that runs the course I'm doing (course in interior design, funnily enough!) and she actually liked my colours. We went through the colour wheel and she gave me some ideas on what to put with it, what to do with the walls etc. I really like her style with other things we've done, have come to trust her judgement, and what she's told me makes sense, so we'll see how I go with the original colours. We played around with the other colour options too, but in real life they didn't actually look as good as they do on the forums! Pity I can't get an accurate colour representation up here! The Stipple Cocoa is a lot different pictured here and in real life. Thankyou all for your input! I really appreciate it! My tac-home-ter: Been in 8 months! Sometimes it is best to go with your original ideas. Must take my own advice, still debating what colour to have our front doors!!
