They have stores in Richmond and Dandenong, its basically new and display furntiure. Was looking at a few leather lounges, very nice, but what do you all think of the quality and value of the furniture there? Look at this: http://suitedeals.com.au/suiteoffers.php , Im looking at the leather liounge in middle. $1999 lounge, plus 399 for that ottoman. I might get it in Chocolate. They bought a 3seater and 2seater lounge set in fabric, it looks really good for a really good price. They've yet to have any problems with it and it's been a year now. I think that the quality is pretty good, same as most other places. Maybe not as top quality as maybe Kings or similar but good enough Idiots are fun, that's why there is one in every village! - Dr. House - Re: Anyone bought at Suite Deals Ex-Display Furniture? 5Jun 03, 2009 10:01 am will0305 wow, I didn't knwo these places existed! Does anybody know where any are in Brisbane? will0305, you can try these guys at Coorparoo http://clearancecentre.valiant.com.au/deal_bri.php Suite deals is great if you are there at the right time. A friend bought lots of lamps and artwork there cheap! Someone on this forum bought about 3 or 4 lounge suites, King and Moran from memory - she was happy with them. I haven't been there in ages. I think too if you join up via their website you get 10% off. I've had a good loooooonnnnngggg look through that one at Sailsbury and there was heaps there that I could have opened my (now well worn) purse for, but their prices didn't seem consistent. Some things were priced too good to be true, others seemed over priced. ie: $7 for a lovely Vase, but it was yellow and not my colour, then $40 for a cushion! There was also a very damaged dining table there for $700 and I've seen similar new ones for about that price, so it didn't seem that great a deal to me. I'm not normally a haggler- that's a bit out of my comfort zone- but I did wonder if they would knock a few dollars off if you asked nicely Re: Anyone bought at Suite Deals Ex-Display Furniture? 8Jun 04, 2009 4:54 pm JellyLegs, we bought lots of furniture from there, and they are VERY negotiable. You can bargain down with them, if you ask nicely.. But this is the Melbourne store. We went there last week and now have on order: - 3 bar stools, one exdisplay $70, 2 new $250 each - leather lounge/chaise $1999 - square coffee table $480 - 8 leather chair timber square dining table $1500 - 2 armchairs $420 each and plenty of vases and artworks for really cheap!! Oh and if you ask them nicely, they will give you free cushions and decoratives.. Highly recommend them, friendly people and good value! Built the Atlantique 37 Mk2 with Carlisle Homes - WE'RE IN!! I bought a large canvas that had the exact colours of our HT in it. Pot luck find. They had $100 on it, after point out a few marks on the frame and mentioning I built with PD I got it for $40 S&P you did well on your shopping trip there! Did you go to the Dandy store? Thats the one I go to.. we negotiated with the old bald guy.. and had huge discounts. Like the dining setting, used to be $2495, then $1900, and because it had one or two scracthes (ex display) we got it for $1500. So we got $400 off for one scarcth.. they must be crazy and out of their minds!! Were happy with all of our findings. Thanks HTB, I think I did do well there, I hate seeing so many emprty spaces in this new house.. wanna fill it up! Built the Atlantique 37 Mk2 with Carlisle Homes - WE'RE IN!! That's fantastic. I know where I'll be shopping next. Re: Anyone bought at Suite Deals Ex-Display Furniture? 12Jun 12, 2009 12:18 pm S&P, I went to the Richmond Store. I took my son to see a show at the Dallas something centre up the road so thought I'd swing by. I used to go and look in the Nunawading shop when it was opened as I used to live in Vermont. I think it all comes down to timing too. I love my canvas thing I got, I propped it up against the wall and have been staring at it for the past few days. Will hang it properly tomorrow Yep lots more space to fill when you build bigger. Happy at Home Re: Anyone bought at Suite Deals Ex-Display Furniture? 13Jul 18, 2009 1:55 pm I went with my mum to the Brisbane one. Not that great to be honest. All the art work was in very bad condition and the furniture was overpriced to me- for what it was! There was mostly the new modular lounge suites they sell and maybe 3 pieces of ex display stuff. There was only junk in the way of accessories. The best deal in the whole shop was maybe the mattresses. I doubt I will be bothering to go there again- must really depend on what's there the day you rock up!! Re: Anyone bought at Suite Deals Ex-Display Furniture? 14Jul 18, 2009 4:09 pm Probably does depend on what they get in at the time. If you lived close it would be ideal because you could keep dropping in for a look. Or maybe that might be too dangerous. 1 10997 Wish you all the best.
