Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 May 19, 2009 1:11 am Ok everyone, We will start building our brand new house in few months and we've already started to look around for deals on flooring and and interior ideas. We will have some medium light American OAK floors with stainless steel on different items , black or dark brown leather sofas(couch). The whole idea is to og for the contemporary look and european. We found just few days ago a really good deal for a bad base that has like a 15-20cm border all around it. All this is in leather and I think it looks very modern and european given the fact that it will go well with the couches from the living room as well with floors. Now my questions is...are these beds out of fashion or would they give you the impressions of cheap. We can go for solid wood but I think everybody has that ...well depending on the design. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m not a fan of the built out surrounds on bed bases, maybe because I must be too clumsy and walk into them. Leather sounds neat; do you have a link to the store that sells them so I can have a look? What do you think? I think with a dark brown feature wall with some white or ox red (80' ferrari red) stripes, the room will look reaaaally nice. At my computer tonight, so I’ll be into the forum. I like the bed…..Make sure you introduce a bit of colour in your bedspread or doona cover. The grey could get a little depressing if you stick with that colour only.
