Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 May 12, 2009 3:48 pm Michelle, Is it necessary to decorate the interior to match the exterior? We've chosen Chocolatto bricks with wild rice tiles, but don't want browns in the house. I prefer greys, but have just realised that the Dune windows might not match with grey. Does this matter? I can't change it now, so please say it will be OK!! No, tell the truth, then tell me what I can do to minimise it please. Re: Match interior with exterior? 2May 12, 2009 5:08 pm Laine…..I like Dune, it’s such a neutral colour it goes with everything. I don’t think you have a problem, anyway, most of the time you have window dressing on the windows and don’t see them from the inside. I hoped the dune might blend a little, since it has a grey-ish tone to it. We have such a lot of Dune, with gutters, fascia, roller door, front door, windows, not to mention the 6x6m shed. Also the wild rice roof tiles are a perfect match and we're having the deck tiled as well. It's such a good contrast to chocolatto bricks, and off white mortar seems to match very well too. Re: Match interior with exterior? 4May 13, 2009 11:50 am It's so funny, when i wasnt building a house, i would have no idea what colour windows people have/had. But now that i'm building, i'm worring so much about things matching. I think at the end of the day, no one will notice your windows apart from you. So choose a colour that you like, dont worry about it not matching!
