Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 May 05, 2009 7:15 pm I havent organized my window coverings yet and have had this blind fabric sample called Florentine Melon Buff which i obtained from Spotlight , i had a quote to have this material made for blockout Roller blinds with white view screens for my bedroom and other areas in the house but was expensive so thinking of doing my bedroom first, Anyway would like any opinions . dont think the colours will come up well on here as i had to scan the material. Looking at the pic im going to post the material looks abit busy, But the material is nice and matches well with the chalk beigh wall colour. The wall colour is the same as HOUSE TO BE and similar window sizes as hers to, so you will get an idea what im talking about. It does look a bit busy in that small sample but I think once it's in context on a big piece of blind it will look like a nice subtle pattern. Nice colour too. I ended up ordering what I decided during the build - 10 weeks after we moved in. I went with plain fabric and a shade darker than the chalk beige. I didn't really want my blinds to stand out in my family/meals area, I wanted the furniture, photos, prints etc to be the focus. I did go alot darker in the study, stairwell and playroom though and they look great. I have white sheers which look lovely against the beige and dust but with the light filtering blind I went lighter than the beige - colour was called Antique. If you ring Mark he'll be able to show you exactly what I have. Good luck, it's a big job!!! Happy at Home Re: opinions needed on this blind sample 4May 06, 2009 8:58 pm That is a lovely fabric.
