Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 27, 2009 3:39 pm I have 1/4 strength Hog Bristle coloured ceilings in the family lounge dining bedrooms and study. Do I go for brushed silver fans and white downlights? I thought the white fans looked a bit old fashioned and cheap. Didnt want the ceiling fans to stand out too much but didnt like white either. cream fans clash badly and didnt like them! Door handles through house are silver. In the kitchen I have 1/4 hog bristle ceiling and full strength hog bristle walls. there will be 3 brushed silver lights hanging low over the main bench top. Should I have the downlights and fans all brushed silver in kitchen? handles on cupboards are silver. I have 2 ceilings painted in Dulux rich biscuit with russian toffee on the walls and I have chosen brushed silver fans and the same for the downlights. Will this be OK? I am grateful for any advice!!! Thanks! Building in Bella Vista Waters Sydney. We also have white downlights (downlights in kitchen only) - but that was to blend in with our white ceilings... I'd possibly go with brushed everything everywhere if my ceilings were HB ... sorry probably doesn't help but thought you might like to know it is possible to have the 2 different things going on in different areas and not look odd!
