Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 27, 2009 3:20 pm Hi all, As some of you may know I have been searching for the Taubmans/Bristol equivalent for Dulux's Antique White USA. After a little research, some time in the Bristol Paint Trade Centre and alot of help from one of their colour gurus on their colour match computer...I thought I would share that the closest match is: Intimate White It is not an exact match because the RGB values are slightly different but it's the closest. I hope this helps those of you like me whose builders will not tint a Taubmans/Bristol base with a Dulux Colour. The Bristol colour guru explained why and this has already been covered in other postings Pix (happy, happy, happy) Built a (highly) modified Allcastle Maxworth 38.7 in Sydney. Re: Taubman's Equivalent for Dulux Antique White USA 2Apr 30, 2009 10:16 am Her builder won’t tint! That’s why she has to find a colour close to AT/White USA. Some builders just like to make it hard for everyone! This is the reason my builder WILL NOT tint one brand of base with another brands colour. The closest Taubmans/Bristol match to Antique White USA on the trade centre computer and after an analysis RGB values was Intimate White. Whether this is the indeed the same as tinting a Dulux base with a Taubmans colour might be 'six of one or half a dozen of the other'!!! I just thought I would share the info and save others pain...hehehehe. Pix Built a (highly) modified Allcastle Maxworth 38.7 in Sydney. Re: Taubman's Equivalent for Dulux Antique White USA 5Apr 30, 2009 10:42 pm Thanks pixelated, our builder uses Taubmans/Bristol colours only too... I haven't really bothered looking at Dulux paint colours for this reason but still struggling to find the "right" white... Is antique White USA a creamy white? or an off white towards grey? Sorry, trying to figure out our white too! I guess that answers my question, not sure that Antique White will work that great with the grey tones... we will have timber floors too so might pick up the pink on the timber (blackbutt) and I really don't want pink. I think I better go down to the Bristol paint center on the w/e and see if they can shed some light...
