Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 24, 2009 2:44 pm Hi Michelle and everyone, I have finally decided on paint colours for my home (all dulux). I am having the flow through colour for the main walls as Eggshell pink - although it just seems a light grey-brown to me, which I'm hoping is correct! The arcatraves and doors will be painted in Antique White USA. Feature wall in living area will be Mocha Magic. My question is about my children's bedrooms. They each want a feature wall colour and for my daughter we have chosen "Naken Light" (a pink) and for my son "Mont Blanc" (a blue). I wanted to know for the other three walls if you think it would look best using the flow through colour I have for the rest of the house (eggshell pink) in quarter strength or if I should use Antique White USA as the main wall colour in the kids bedrooms. I'm not sure which would look best with their coloured feature walls. I would really appreciate your opinion this. I have attached a file with these colours in them so you don't have to look them up. Edited to add the carpet colour in the bedrooms is a medium brown. Thanks in advance Jodes Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Question re interior paint colour matching 2Apr 24, 2009 4:58 pm They are all lovely colours, good choice! I would go with the eggshell in quarter. Being the kids room, if they are playing in there, I think the eggshell will hide finger prints better than the white. Custom build! Re: Question re interior paint colour matching 3Apr 25, 2009 8:25 pm Both the Antique and the egg shell look fine. I would normally suggest using the flow colour through out. That way you don’t have 2 many different colours through your home. But both will work. M!ssy, stupidly I hadn't even given a thought to dirty finger marks, I'm so glad you mentioned it, I am definately going to use the Eggshell in quarter for their rooms now, keeping with the flow through like you suggested Michelle. Thanks again, off to buy my paint now Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7150 I am looking for someone who might have tackled a similar issue as me. I have a few rendered interior walls, the surface condition is hardly flat.
