Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 20, 2009 1:54 pm I already posted a thread about this topic in the kitchen forum but it probably would have been better suited here. I don't think I can edit it to move it here, so apologies for the double posting. Unless a mod can move it across here. This is the colour scheme of my kitchen and what it looks like. I thought of getting something vibrant but would like to install some overhead cupboards as well, so it might work to have a bold colour like red if I will also need to work in overheads with it. For now, I'm thinking the safest colour would be a white because I could then get white overheads to match it. I'm not sure. My walls are going to be off-white. Built with Commodore Homes - The Fusion completed April 2009 (with modifications) Yes I have moved! Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Colour advice - splashback 5Apr 20, 2009 3:35 pm That is true. And I wouldn't be having the overheads extending all the way to the ceiling so it wouldn't be too much black. I didn't actually ever think of black. But do you think the steely coloured bench top and cupboards, with black splashback and white colours is too many colours going on? Oh and what do you mean by whitish limed wash doors? I think black is what you need, if not black a really DEEP grey! This is what’s going to bring life into your kitchen; your colours are quite subtle. It's a nice warm colour and actually works well with the laminates. I ended up going metallic. I was looking through all the glass samples he brought with him to my house and was putting aside all the ones that I liked, and then finally chose that one out of all of them. When I turned it over to see the colour name, it just said Cocoa Galore. I know he had some Dulux paint colours amongst his samples. Even though the sample looks good against the laminates I'm still anxious to see the final product. Should be done in about two weeks and I'll post up the photos. I pictured Cocoa Galore being brownish, but it doesn't seen to be from your pic. (Filing colour away for future reference.) I'd love to see it from some other angles when you get a chance. Judie Re: Colour advice - splashback 15May 26, 2009 4:04 pm Well, it actually did look brown from the sample. I think it looks brown under certain lights, and more grey under other light conditions.
