Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 06, 2007 6:15 am Hello everyone !
My name is Vlad Nagolya and I'm from Canada. Our company distributing PVC tin look ceiling tiles in North America. Tin ceilings were very popular some 100 years ago and it looks like they become popular here again. Just wondering - does those type of ceilings exist at your place ? Did anyone see something like that before ? (I'll attach our gallery page just in case http://talissadecor.com/?p=gallery ) Thanks for looking! Good to know. I was little surprised when I checked Australian eBay and didn't find ceiling tiles there. There are lot of sellers in North America. I was just wondering if there is any demand for this type of product at your place. Regards. Re: Question regarding tin look ceilings 4Apr 07, 2007 8:43 pm Faust….try typing in “Pressed Metal Ceilings” when doing a search on the net.
This type of ceiling is over 1 hundred years old here in Australia. It is only really used with the Federation and there about’s area for our homes. Not many people tend to use it now, unless they are renovating their old homes. But your product is a great idea….. And I think you should be able to find a market here!! Good luck! The pressed metal ceilings are becoming popular in the hospitality area. A few nightclubs/cocktail bars and pubs are beginning to use them again. Its part of the 'vintage-look trend' I think. Have a look at the Equilibrium Hotel here in Sydney - some of the interior spaces are pretty impressive! http://www.equilibriumhotel.com.au/ Re: Question regarding tin look ceilings 8Apr 10, 2007 4:10 pm Hey thanks!
I liked their ceiling ! Looks pretty impressive. Today I got two pictures from the designer to whom we sold the tiles almost a year ago I already forgot about him and suddenly got a nice surprise. He found some interesting ways to use what we have - I liked it . http://www.talissadecor.com/data/gallery/89.jpg http://www.talissadecor.com/data/gallery/88.jpg Thanks again! Re: Question regarding tin look ceilings 9Apr 10, 2007 4:29 pm The photos are great!
The first one is the one you should use to promote your product. It takes the pressed metal ceiling into a different direction, away from the known old style. Good luck with it all …. I will keep your website handy, just in case I want some!!!!
