House your windows are similar in size to mine , thanks for posting your pics, as ive been pondering what to do with mine you also seem to have a similar wall color so now i can get an idea of the material colour .Is your house pd?
I was thinking of having blinds and saw a blind material sample called Florentine buff a spotlight sample, fits in nicely with my wall colours , but expensive to make
Taffy have you had your window coverings done yet? if you have.. have you got pics.

Hi Clath, glad the photo helped you Yep I'm pretty sure we both have the same wall colour - chalk beige. I think I remember asking you this when your kitchen was going in Yep we are pd too, Cremorne.
My drape colour is called driftwood. It's nice, I did get a lighter sample in but I didn't like it. Our carpet is a pretty close match to our walls so the dark curtains work well. We have Romans and Roller blinds through the rest of the house (drapes in my room and the HT only). If you'd like to see some pics they are in this thread on page 15. Colour in family room is called Samba, it's a little bit darker than the walls.

Blind company I used is http://www.intoblinds.com.au run by two brothers, lovely guys, great prices and great products. The other colour I used for the roller blinds (all bedrooms, pantry and laundry) is called eggshell. It was the closest match to chalk dust (not sure if you have that in your home as well). I can give you a link for the sheers too, cheap to buy and really nice when up
Thanks sooo much House ( sounds as if im talking to dr House from that Tv program)
Yes thats right i have chalk beigh and chalk dust , seems a popular color in some pd homes from what i can see I have that long narrow window too in my 2 and 3 bedrooms, i notice you have one blind to fit the window , some companies tell me i have to have two, reckon its because they get their materials from China and their not strong enough for those windows.
YOUR colours fit perfect with the paint color, I might give those guys a call and see wether they have that Florentine buff blind fabric
