Looks great! What did she do with the big blue rug, is that in the middle now? Interesting how she has the lounges off the walls in the formal living. Is that your dining table? Was it in there before? Nice to see you here! Re: Getting a stylist when selling - updated with pics :) 26Apr 06, 2009 7:00 pm Hey Chelle, Tried to call you earlier . She swapped the brown and the blue rugs so the blue one is one the landing as you come down the stairs now, balances the space a bit better now. My square dining table is in front of the kitchen, the one in the formal dining is one she brought with her, looks a lot like mine doesn't it? Re: Getting a stylist when selling - updated with pics :) 27Apr 06, 2009 7:04 pm Oh I love it! What a stunning home!!! I want your dining table/chairs - exactly what I am after!!! Oh and can I ask your grass? Is it real? It looks soooooo green!! Good luck with the sale My karma ran over your dogma Re: Getting a stylist when selling - updated with pics :) 28Apr 06, 2009 7:09 pm I really like that occasional table with the flowers on it. I want one like that for my entry hallway. I just bought a whole lot of secondhand furniture (photos are in my blog ) and that table would match it all so well I think the whole house looks great, good luck with selling you will have to let us know how you go. Yes, the grass is real, not sure what type it is, a type of Buffalo I think, all I know is that it grows failrly fast and needs a lot of mowing, the grass we picked for the back is a slower growing Buffalo one but is also nice and green Hels - looked at your blog, the house looks great, and yes I think that table would suit perfectly! Re: Getting a stylist when selling - updated with pics :) 30Apr 06, 2009 8:11 pm oh wow what a gorgeous house you have, the furniture just makes it look even better. My husband and father in law built it and put a lot of effort in. We will be building another one soonish so I'm ok with parting with this one, hopefully the next will one will be as nice if not a touch nicer than this one Re: Getting a stylist when selling - updated with pics :) 35Apr 07, 2009 10:44 am That's a fantastic result, Lache - it's amazing how just a few things can make such an impact. Re: Getting a stylist when selling - updated with pics :) 36Apr 07, 2009 6:34 pm Yes, notice how the couches aren't pushed against the walls?! I set up a display home recently and had a big space that was difficult to furnish, so left the couches off the wall (to create a bit more intimate feel).....anyway i've heard that 2 people have tried to push them back (which is annoying!). Think they are trying to help. Re: Getting a stylist when selling - updated with pics :) 37Apr 07, 2009 7:21 pm I never put couches against a wall if the room is big enough to take them central. As MBBN said, it's much more intimate and makes the room look far more inviting. I noticed she did the same with the rumpus room, although I guess no one would put a sofa up against a glass balcony Bev, the flooring in that room is Brushbox timber Use a product like Equisol's Vitalise to clean the deck then coat with a penetrating timber oil.
