Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 31, 2009 10:56 pm Hi Michelle, Can you please help with external colour for our house. We have renovated our house and the render is nearly finished and I haven't picked a colour yet. The Roof, Gutters, Fascia and Rails are Woodland Grey. Garage door and Eaves are Surfmist. I'm struggling with the main colour. I want something neutral and light, but still warm. I've tried a few sample pots directly on the render (not sure if I should have done this), but the colours look so different. The colours I've tried are Beige Royal and it looked light grey. Also tried British Paints Woven Thread and Cotton Reel, but too yellow. Then tried Bristols Tinderboy, but got dark grey. I seem to keep getting grey tones, but I want a browny creamy colour that is warm. Not sure what colour to do the windows yet, we are removing the bars and putting up privacy slats/screens and not sure if we should do woodland grey slats or stained wood. Can you please help with this too. Any suggestions would be great. I can't seem to attach the photo, so I'll email it separately to you. Thanks. Pale Parchmentat looks really nice and maybe just what I've been looking for....You are very good at this. I think the timber screens would also look good to add something a little different to the house. Can't wait to buy a sample pot = ) Thanks again and I'll keep you posted. Amy. Any pictures? I am desperately confused on what colour to go with for the render of my home. We were looking at Warm Neutral which is similiar to Pale Parchmentat but not sure if it has too much pink in it. Any advice would be great.
