Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 29, 2009 6:13 pm Yet another in dire need of advice on exterior house colours. Ours is a weatherboard house, I guess you'd say its 'traditional' style but as we've just added an extension, we're keen to modernise it a bit by not using typical tradtional colours. We have a Colourbond Manor Red roof. Picked up a couple sample pots today after looking at Dulux colour cards in the paint shop. Sago or Pearl Ash for walls Rameau or Mallard Grey for trim Also thought about using Colourbond colours - Dune for walls and maybe Woodland Grey for trim. We previously had it in yellow/beigey colours so were leaning towards grey for something different. Our brown metal windows have no trims at the moment, we were thinking about aluminium ones powdercoated to suit. Would you do frames the same colour as the roof? Guttering is currently Manor Red but that can be painted based on your expert advice. We can get powdercoating in any of the colourbond colours, or of course paint them ourselves in whatever colour we choose. Look forward to your much needed guidance! Thank you! Thanks Michelle! Re: Exterior colours to suit Manor Red roof 4Mar 31, 2009 5:19 pm I prefer the Pearl Ash over the Sago, the Sago seems to have a bit of pink in it. I love the Mallard Grey! I was going to post the colours for you, but Dulux doesn’t have the Mallard Grey on their site. The Pearl Ash and the Mallard Grey are perfect together, very nice indeed. Your windows need to be a grey if you can, or the brown will still work if you want to save money. But not the red of the roof. I am also faced with the dilemma of choosing colours for a house with Manor Red roof. Thinking a medium grey with white trims, but would appreciate your thoughts given you have gone through the process. Thanks!
