Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 24, 2009 8:47 pm We are in the process of colour selections.. fun fun!! Having a bit of trouble with the bathrooms. At the moment: floor tiles = carrara white wall tiles = white satin spa tiles = black satin (looks more like dark chocolate to me though). feature tile = stone (as shown in picture below) laminex benchtop = burnished wood currently the cupboards = tawny linestone?? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I am a little unsure about the tawny limestone. I think I like it but not entirely sure about if the lined timber look will go well with the stone.. and also if it will age or not? The other thing I am not sure about is the white floor tiles. The bathroom is going to be fairly white (walls, shower and vanity wall tiles, etc). I kind of like the idea of black/ very dark chocolate floor tiles. I think that they may stay cleaner as well? What do you all think?? Lastly also coming up with some exterior colours. We are going to go with Boral Mocha bricks with offwhite mortar and a Sambuca roof. At this stage we are going to go with Jasper gutters, fascia and downpipes and Dune for the render around the portico and feature wall. Will possibly add some light coloured stone to the portico column as well? What would you recommend as havinng the garage door and front door colours? The same as the render or something in between? Or even something totally different? We are sort of basing our external colours on the house below that we found (with the same bricks and all )... LOL the bathroom thread looks a bit more populated so there would be ok. Just wasn't sure if you read the others as much. Do you have any comments about the external colours? Maybe they can go here. Or in my main thread 'Carlisle homes-Monaco32" Look forward to your response! Building Monaco32 with Carlisle Homes in Alamanda Estate 20/08/2010 - HANDOVER 24/8!! I think a timber or timber look will look good with your bricks and light render colours.
