Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 24, 2009 8:35 am hi Michelle I know I am running before I am walking but I would like your advice I am putting timber floating floors down in most of house kitchen, family, games, dinning etc the timber is kempas It is not down yet but I need to buy or order a timber dining suite ( it takes about 6weeks here to get anything) the question is what colour do I go light or dark the dining is off the kitchen/family which is white ( ice snow , classic white doors) there is also alot of glass all four walls in the dining, the family doesn't have any furniture only a fireplace with black surround, but would like to put a white chaise in there. Kempas is a redish colour so do I blend or go dark like a walnut(black or dark chocolate) Re: furniture colour on a timber floor 2Mar 24, 2009 1:38 pm I haven't forgotten about you!!!! Let the timbers stand out from each other. Beech is a modern colour and will go well with the white selections in your kitchen. Black and dark chocolate could be a little dark overall? I’m picturing the beech, and it looks good. I hope this has helped.
