Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 19, 2009 1:07 pm We are thinking of a few colour combinations for the walls and doors. (Ceiling is to be plain white; all dulux).
Walls - Doors Napkin White - China White Gental Touch 1/4 - Gental Touch 1/2 Antique White - Hog Bristle 1/2 But then I thought maybe door colours should be the same as the walls? Which looks better? In such a situation though would the skirting along the floor and the frame be the same colour as the door or the wall? Thank you! Re: Colour of interior doors - suggestions? 2Mar 19, 2009 1:20 pm Our interior designer advised us to have white ceilings and cornices then doors / walls / architraves / skirts all the same colour (which we are having a neutral colour from Wattyl called Sierra Snow). Her idea was if it isn't a feature then don't highlight it - which we agreed with. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Colour of interior doors - suggestions? 3Mar 19, 2009 1:35 pm Thanks for the advice!
So definitely ceilings and cornices will be white but I am afraid having the skirting, walls, windows and doors the same colour will be too bland? The colour combinations I listed are all neutral and shouldn't draw too much attention but still create a nice effect? I do agree though that all skirting and architraves should be the same colour as the doors.
