Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 17, 2009 12:29 pm Hi
As some of you know we are giving our holiday house a basic facelift by painting and recarpeting. Unfortunately we do have a tenant in there now so I can't get photos (although I might have some old ones at home I can post) so apologies in advance as I try to describe the place! We want to buy as much as we can now while the tenant is still there so we can use the receipts against our tax So we are looking for paint colours now. Michelle kindly updated a thread a few weeks ago with neutrals and I had picked Dulux winnow however hubby can get discount with Taubmans and wants to use that. I can't find the Taubmans colours that Michelle has listed on either my colour chart samples or on their website. We were hoping to get the paint this week. Soooo...I was hoping you guys may help narrow down my selection. We are having the same colour all the way through the house (small house) and we already have a chocolate brown feature wall in our bdm which we will keep. It's open plan living/kitchen and the kitchen cupboard doors are an off-white, and benches are like a speckled beige. We have dark brown stained skirtings and doors and brown cedar blinds. We haven't picked the carpet colour yet but I would like a very light brown or beige type colour. Kitchen floor will have laminate floorboards (not sure what shade yet). I want a bright-ish fresh colour paint to really lighten things up but to compliment most other colours (being a holiay home we will have mismatched everything including wall art!). I should mention the house is in the blue mtns which gets very cold in winter and we have an open fire so I would like to retain the cosyness feel without going too dark. The couch is dark blue with yellow/lightblue cushions (part of the couch so can't change). I currently have a yellow toned cream colour on the walls which I like and happy to keep but would definitely consider a change. Could anybody possibly help me narrow down to a few colours you think might work as I can't picture the end results by looking at the tiny little sample squares you get from the Taubmans book! Very grateful for any suggestions Debbie Re: Taubmans Neutrals - please help me choose :-) 2Mar 17, 2009 12:59 pm Get the Winnow in a Taubmans base…..same colour just mixed by Taubmans!

Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7157 i had the my concreters concrete right up to the fence. I have pits all along my path, so the water tends to drain away from the house and into the pits.
