Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 13, 2009 5:34 pm Im trying to choose colours that compliment the interior colours, as they are visable through the sliders... the indoor features are dulux musk memory, but the outside pergola is dulux oboe'd amore(?)
originally I was going to paint the same as the pergola but the tricky part is that the sliders and security screens are white, and now im thinking this may look a bit funny. the other option would be to have 2 different colours on the different walls, a subtle colour on the door walls and darker colour on the wall only walls (prob makes no sense!!??) any idea's!? thanks for the piccy's! yes, the musk memory is on my feature walls on the interior already, as is the oboe d'amore on the pergola posts etc in the exterior... the walls of the rear of the house (which have just been re-done after the sliders were put in) are what i am trying to choose a colour for. do you think the tuscan sunset would work ok or a bit too much colour? Re: Help Choosing final colours on external wall. pic included 8Mar 15, 2009 7:24 am Oh How awful, she is really beautiful and I hope she comes home to you guys soon...
She reminds me alot of my little girl Jessie - she is also blue fawn, with the same white markings and black around the eyes. She is not as big though - only 7 months! Good Luck in finding her, I will be thinking of you guys My karma ran over your dogma Re: Help Choosing final colours on external wall. pic included 9Mar 16, 2009 4:00 pm I would look at something like Dulux Clay Dust
It’s not so in your face as the gold colour, and I think more timeless??? And goes well with this colour… Oboe D’Amore Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Help Choosing final colours on external wall. pic included 10Mar 16, 2009 9:19 pm yes i see your point michelle, and your right, they do look nice together.
thanks, I get carried away with colours sometimes in the excitement of it all so you would you do all the walls in that back bit in the clay dust? actually, its not a bad colour to do the whole exterior is it? Re: Help Choosing final colours on external wall. pic included 11Mar 17, 2009 8:59 am I was hoping you’d do the whole exterior!
It’s a great colour, it will go with your roof tiles, white windows and any other splashes of colour you might get itchy feet to do along the way. but i'll do this back bit first, that I can promise!! thanks again slightly off topic, but you know how the old fibro places have the timber(?) strips that cover all the joins of the fibro sheets.... well I really despise them... if i pull them off, is it possible to just fill the gaps between the sheets and then repaint over the whole house? Re: Help Choosing final colours on external wall. pic included 13Mar 17, 2009 9:58 am There called battens…..and yes you can fill the gap if you take them off.
Ask at the hardware store what is you need to fill with. Are the walls Asbestoses?
