Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 13, 2009 11:40 am Hi guys, Please can anyone help with a paint colour called Pistachio.
We need to touch up a few spots in our rental before handover an dthe colour on our rental agreement simply states Pistachio. It is a beige cream colour and before I go off to a paint shop and ask for Pistachio I was wondering if anyone new the brand............................ I have a very very small chip that I can try and get colour matched but I don't like my chances and I don't want to chip the wall for a colour match Anyway please help> Thanks in advance. Re: Paint colour called Pistachio......Does any one know it? 2Mar 13, 2009 1:10 pm Is it a Haymes colour??? Something, somewhere is ringing a bell in my head.
If you can get a sample about 20c piece in size, Haymes will colour match. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. I like your bell anyway I had a look on their website and they do have a colour called pistachio cream which mey be it. I have managed to find a small sample from an inconspicuous(sp) spot so I will go to a trade centre and see what they can do for me. Unfortuneately Haymes is about an hours drive form where I am so maybe its bunnings to the rescue Thanks Joles Re: Paint colour called Pistachio......Does any one know it? 4Mar 13, 2009 1:30 pm NO!!!
Don't get your paint mixed at Bunnings. They are notorious for getting it not quite right. Especially since you are colour matching, go to a trade centre. Think about it, an hours drive, you'll have to stop for a lunch/shoppping break. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Out in the car for an hour stopping and shopping
No really I know how bad they are but I have just got back and they were kind of helpful and the colour looks pretty darn close as far as I can tell..... it is bad I know but I won't be going for any big paint jobs there believe me......... and I wanted to look at there flatpack kitchens aswell so a bit of a double reason...... I am going to stop justifying myself now goodbye.......... Re: Paint colour called Pistachio......Does any one know it? 6Mar 13, 2009 4:33 pm I can’t find it in all my brochures.
Watch B’s….make sure the colour is right, make them show it to you after they have mixed it. Put a dab on some paper and wait for it to dry just to make sure! I used Pistachio in previous house. It was beautiful creamy colour, I remember having at about 75% of tint and it was gorgeous. I used two types of paint in that house Dulux & British paints (which is owned by Dulux) so I think you'll find it in an old fan deck of either Dulux or British Paints. Good luck! Thankyou............ I had an old shower unit that broke on me and when I took it off, there were only 2 water pipes, instead of the normal 2 water pipes and a shower head pipe.
