Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 05, 2009 8:55 am Hi Michelle I've been looking at colours for the kitchen and am very confused. I've sort of decided on a grey theme, so could you suggest a combination that looks attractive and won't date please? I also like the idea of having the breakfast bar back matching the kickboards in a darker colour. We're having blackbutt floors throughout, and the kitchen is in a large open plan living dining area. We'll probably have to have laminate benchtops as the budget is groaning, even though we're not making expensive choices, although I'd like a suggestion for a colour for a stone top as well please, just in case we can squeeze a bit more. This is an expensive exercise! Thanks so much, I'm worried about choosing colours then having them look wrong. Re: Kitchen choices 2Mar 05, 2009 4:22 pm Top wall cupboards - Laminex Oyster Grey

My taste must be OK after all, I have exactly those samples, but I wasn't sure how the gunmetal would go with blackbutt, but now that I think about it, we're having feature in the timber which will be dark, so that would tie in with it, right? Thanks again. Re: Kitchen choices 5Mar 06, 2009 4:16 pm Laine Michelle, thank you! Thanks again. Timber complements anything and any colour. So you have no problems there. MOST of the time people do very well with their selections, and just need some reassurance on them. Well done. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6636 2 4686 that will depend on the kitchen bench depth. you'll have to specify it so it allows for both the tap and the sink 1 7400 |
