Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge Re: Australia Made Australia Owned Furniture 21May 13, 2009 10:57 pm We just bought our theatre couch oversized 3 seater and also an oversized one seater from Casans, which is made in Melbourne, by an Italian guy and sold exclusively through Myer. We bought the Maxwell Neo range and its absolutely lovely. You get Italian style and fabrics but made right here in Melbourne, in Hoppers Crossing I think. Its not too pricey and at the moment Myer seem to be discounting everything. We got around 50% off. From speaking to them they are about to release 4 new styles so keep an eye out if you need a couch or chair and support local makers. I find Jimmy Possum stuff expensive and over rated personally. I went out there with money to spend on three lounge suites, dining room table and cabinets and found I was treated oddly in their store. I ended up mainly buying from Myer, Easy Living and Freedom. And made sure I bought Australian materials and/or made. we are selling and moving to the coast, if you know someone who wishes to buy in Mernda Villages, please visit this link http://www.realestate.com.au/property-h ... -107083288 Re: Australia Made Australia Owned Furniture 22May 14, 2009 10:55 am Your couches sound fantastic and very comfy.
