Re: window coverings timber v "what" 4Feb 07, 2009 11:41 am the Luxaflex website has some beautiful timeless options ... the silhouettes are a lovely alternative to regular blinds IMO. Sheers and drapes are also popular now. But go for something you love rather than something 'trendy'

We have a 3m window with a centre opening and I don't want to put 2blinds up any suggestions I have the timber look blinds….I can say I am happy to be leaving them behind in my house when I move to my new place. I don’t pull them up to open the windows, I just slip my hand in the slats, they are TOO heavy to keep pulling up. Privacy is the thing when deciding on what to put at which window. Where is the window, what room, and how much privacy do you need for that room? It has two layers - a sheer layer and a blockout layer. During the day you use the sheer alone, and the blockout at night.
Also, IKEA has a panel glide curtain. It shows the whole system here: http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/categ ... 374/13290/ . It looks really good up and covers sliding doors particularly well. I'm going to look closely at these if our house ever gets finished. Judie Re: window coverings timber v "what" 7Feb 08, 2009 1:24 pm I’m not saying to use these, but I found some gorgeous panel glides in Spot Light, so pretty….they do panels as well.
I bought 2 small wicker roman blinds for 2 of my windows in my new place from Spot Light, they have some good gear! I really like romans but apparently they only go up to 2.4mtrs wide. also goes for rollers, timber venetions,etc... most except for verticals ( prefer not to have these)
Southies... where did you find the pic of the roller blind.. Looks heaps longer than the 3mtrs we need. Built a modified "Daydream 279" .. Cor@l Homes on a flat 4473m block!! And lov'n it!!!
