No need for ironing when they are washed. I got them from spotlight, very cheap. I’m not a big fan of the big ones anyway. Re: My new home, 2 years in & renos start again! 649Oct 10, 2011 5:17 pm Yes, well the funny thing is I bid on one, then went and bought one full price not realising I had to buy if I won the bid on the other, which I did. Which is why I ended up with 2! I’m looking to put something on my entry door to my garage so I think one may go there. The other may be given away for a xmas present. We are just good little shoppers keeping the economy going……. My hubby often comes and looks over my shoulder, rolling his eyes and groaning "Oh noooo, what are you buying this time?" Actually, I'm usually only browsing! Re: My new home, 2 years in & renos start again! 651Dec 11, 2011 9:25 am New Curtains……2 reasons. 1) The wicker roman’s let too much light in, there for too much heat in the summer with the C/B fence behind the windows. 2) Pretty sure the guy next door has had enough of looking at me every night if my lights are on. Needed more privacy!!! Now I get to control how much light I let in at the 2 windows to the side of my TV. And at night when their closed it makes a nice feature of black and silver. This was my yard when I moved in May 09 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is it now as of yesterday, old clothes line out, new one hung against wall of the house, pavers taken up and Little Gem Magnolia planted in the middle of the yard. (and at the back now has solar panels) lots Now I just need some soil to fill in the ditch. We've got half our garage set aside for a workout area-complete with TV ( DH keeps the remote in the drinks holder on the crosstrainer! ). I've been thinking about a carpeted area and I think you've convinced me..also will put the WII out there too I think! I can recommend the Zumba DVD - I got it for Xmas and have had a quick go but it's been too hot the last few days - it's easy and fun ... For info on our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43093 Built the McLaren by Dechellis - slab down 22 Feb - handover 30 Aug 2011 - and gardens finished 9 Dec 2012!! I put carpet in my garage not long after I moved here, the brown carpet has been there 2 years.....looks as good as the day I put it down. Pure wool - plush.....nice to walk on and only cost me $20 The rug I put down yesterday, a spare one I had floating around and thought I might as well use it. I wouldn't have a workout area without carpet, just seems right to me. I can recommend the Zumba DVD - I got it for Xmas and have had a quick go but it's been too hot the last few days - it's easy and fun ... Hi Mclaren... I love dancing, so I figure the Zumba is a good bet. Thanks for the feed back. The curtains are working really well, keeping all that heat out that the wicker blinds let in. I actually put the center bracket up on the weekend, they hang a lot better now. GOOD! I'm getting too old for all that shoveling of dirt and heavy lifting. I'm about to start getting serious on the rest of my reno by putting together sketches of the new kitchen, moodboards of all changes and possibly a powerpoint presentation to send to the kitchen guys to get quotes from.... I'm flat out at Carpet Court, designing our store a website and some huge changes taking place there at the moment. Its a very exciting time for us all.....which is why I haven't been on the forum very often lately, too tired after work.
