Re: My new project...My new home 362Feb 17, 2010 4:20 pm I love the new outdoor table! I would have never of thought of using a giant pot and turning it upside down!! Which is probably why *you're* the specialist!! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=22766 - my build thread! Time waits for no man. Unless that man is Chuck Norris. Re: My new project...My new home 363Feb 17, 2010 8:45 pm Michelle you just saved my alot of time. I have been searching for a small table that can handle the weather for my daughters fairy garden. I have these cute little toad stool seats made from glazed ceramic so an upside down pot would be perfect!! Re: My new project...My new home 364Feb 18, 2010 5:33 am EKT, that was my main reason for thinking of the ceramic pot…..I need to be able to hose it. It gets pretty dusty around here. The timber seat is always dusty but I can’t hose that. Glad you ladies like my idea. Remember though, I did used to work in a nursery, so I’m pretty good with outdoors ideas also. Re: My new project...My new home 370Mar 05, 2010 7:24 pm Work in progress M. There’s NOT enough colour out there for me. Hence the colourful cushions. By the way, I’ve finished the other 2 red cushions and a red runner for my outdoor table. Only got 4 green ones left to do. I am LOVING it all. It's just wonderful, so relaxing, and peaceful gorgeous. Well done!!!!!You're so clever Guess what I got today?? A Waterlily candle holder, just like yours. The price was even better - FREE! We bought a lounge suite and he threw it in for free...whhoooppeeeeee, cheaper than a trip to Berry (although it's such a beautiful place). www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Re: My new project...My new home 374Mar 06, 2010 3:58 pm Thank you themax, I AM having fun! I’m so glad you like it. Lucky you for getting a Lotus candle holder, now make sure you show me where you put it. I have just done ¾ of my front door; it was the hardest paint job I have ever done! NEVER stain a door once it’s hung do the thing before its hung. The front needs another coat, the back is finished. Where’s my scotch! So there will be lots of pics then! (Sorry I meant Lotus, i am thinking of making a Water Lily pot and I have Water Lily on the brain, sorry. By the way I have put it on my bathroom vanity. I just read this whole thread (with a few hours break to make dinner). Fantastic job. I did a reno last year but I was not very adventurous with colour. Looking for a house to renovate now. I"m feeling very inspired by your reno. Will definitely keep an eye out here and check out your website when I find something. You must be very happy with your new home. I might even repaint my home now. P.S. When I was reading Nicks Nook, I thought you were talking about your hubby's study. As in a nook for Nick. Re: My new project...My new home 378Mar 07, 2010 6:42 am Thanks travelbug!! I have accidently deleted some photos from this thread, had a very blond moment, so I need to repost them. No hubby here, so no Nick, doing this reno on my own! I’m really looking forward to doing my kitchen possibly next year. That will be the biggest transformation of this little house. But I have to be carful not to over capitalise on a very small home. BUT, I just can’t help myself when I get going. Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: My new project...My new home 379Mar 07, 2010 9:19 pm Well thanks to you Michelle I was up till past midnight looking at colours and decorating pictures. You certainly motivated me. I've decided to repaint my family room/kitchen/dining. Went to bunnings but couldn't decide so painted my daughters bedroom instead (well it's a spare room now). Well I've done the cornice so far (one coat) they are really wide. The whole room is a disgusting blue gloss. Darker thick cornice. I've been meaning to paint it for years. Took me a while to prepare it. I had Hogs Bristle 1/4 and 1/2 left over from the last reno so I'm using that and will do one feature wall in something else. So looks like every afternoon this week I'll be painting after work. I can't wait to see how it turns out. Nothing adventurous again but I'm going for something more adventurous in the living areas. Can't wait to see my daughters face when she visits next. Re: My new project...My new home 380Mar 08, 2010 12:40 pm Travelbug….I’m so glad to have been a part of your motivation. Have fun, nothing like projects in our own home to keep us happy. Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com |
