Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jan 17, 2009 6:03 pm I've currently got these colours picked for my bathroom and ensuite
I'll do the ensuite first seeing that l didn't include the floor tile in the bathroom pics: From Left - Ceramica Floor tile, Sand Wall Tiles, Twine Vanity and the Benchtop in Truro matches nicely with the rich brown/chocolate stones in border tile. Well l think they do, lol. Although it does not look like it, the benchtop matches nicely with the bronze tones in the feature tile, as can be seen from the closeup pic, though that pic is not really true to life either. BUT, I would look at the Stipple Palomino for your bathroom, instead of the Stipple Sumutra, it could be a tad bit too ……orange? Just a suggestion….. Thanks Michelle Yeah in these pics the Sumutra looks too orangey, and though the sample is not, even so, it may still take the focus off the feature tile?? Will definitely look at the Palomino and see if that works better. If that doesn't work, what other colours would you suggest that might also work? I'm sticking with Sumutra, even the consultant remarked how good it worked with the feature tiles....I did try the Palomino just to see what it was like but it just didn't go with it at all. Re: My Bathroom & Ensuite Colour Selections 5Jan 25, 2009 12:10 pm Have changed the bechtop for the ensuite....when l put all the tiles and laminates together again, the benchtop was just too busy....isn't it funny how one day it looks great and then a week later it's the opposite
So I'm going with a solid mocha colour now (excuse the quality of the pic) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And here is my laundry colours: I've gone with Stone Beige with the benchtop in Angora Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: My Bathroom & Ensuite Colour Selections 6Jan 26, 2009 7:23 pm Much better! Yeah so l thought lol, until l saw the colour consultant yesterday....she liked all of the colours except for the marble beige in the bathroom...she said it looks ok on sample, but in real life it will look too "orangy" ...now where did l hear that before! lol... and she's right, l didn't see it before until she put them with the floor tile on a different angle. The marble beige looked like a rich yellowy cream So it's gone and is now being replaced in with Classic Beige instead. I've ditched the Twine for the ensuite too and am going with the Classic Beige there too. Now it looks much better and l'm 100% rapt with them all the colours now Re: My Bathroom & Ensuite Colour Selections 8Jan 30, 2009 8:41 pm I have had classic beige in 2 of my houses I have built in the past, and another in antique white.
Classic beige goes with almost anything and we sold our last house 6 years after building it and it still looked modern. In fact Im using the kitchen benchtop colour I had in there in my bathrooms and ensuite in this new house. I think it will look better than twine as twine has a bit more of a pinkish twinge to it Know where your going in life............... you may already be there Re: My Bathroom & Ensuite Colour Selections 9Jan 30, 2009 9:00 pm Taffy I have had classic beige in 2 of my houses I have built in the past, and another in antique white. What colour is your kitchen benchtop and cabinets for that matter? lol Yup, l saw the slight pink tinge in the twine too, sooooo glad l changed it. By taff This is what I'm going with this time. On the left is Laminex Cocoa Nougat for the kitchen and laundry benchtop. On the right is parbury Evening Tigris for the ensuite and laundry benchtop. In the middle is parbury wallaby for all the cupboard doors which will be done in a two pak gloss The tile is a polished porcelain in an Ivory sort of colour with a fleck through it. Going to have these on the floor in 600x600 and up the walls in 600x300. Not having any feature tiles this time just going to cap them off with a chrome trim. Will most prob have the same tiles as a kitchen splash back too. Saves me having to make more decisions Know where your going in life............... you may already be there the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 11835 How much are you ahead in payments compared to where the build is at?
