Looking at the pics I really like the dark and wood although must say I wouldn't have the black plantations Re: And now the Ensuite.... 22Jan 18, 2009 1:42 pm Michelle cascre What vanity would you put with it? Should I change the top to a caserstone white to break it all up? I guess I was going the walnut because it kind of linked the kitchen and other bathroom and the ensuite - I used that for the cupboards in all those rooms. I really want the tiles to stand out though!! They cost so much they really need to be the main feature!! Are you having chrome legs on the vanity, kicks or is it fixed to the wall? I’m still waiting for a reply to this question…. You guys are so friendly and helpful!!! I spent the day taking the kids to a picnic and trip to the trout farm and came back to heaps of messages!!
The vanity has a recessed kicker - it appears floating though. i put a white caesar stone sample against the black and it just didn't have the impact the walnut did. The walnut sample in sandblasted has a slight threading of black through it - which the tiles really seem to compliment in person. After looking at the pictures of the Nolan I think it's made me want to stick with the walnut timber. I found the picture below too and the walnut timbers with black looks stunning. With that one white wall I'm just hoping it won't be too dark, I hope and think your right Joles, the bath (freestanding too) and vanities etc.. should lighten it up. I would love to see the tiles in a different colour!! I didn't realise they did!! Have you built yet? Do you have photos? The bit I went crazy with was the wall tiles. Floor to Ceiling in Loft Negro Floral 150x600. I posted the photo of them. They are floor to ceiling in the shower and all walls and behind the vanity. A rectangle mirror sits in them above the basins. I have a large chandeleir in the middle of the room and lights above the vanity too. I was worried about it being to dark with all the dark tiles. There is a large timber window which is stained in Walnut Stain.... Honest Opinions please....Thanks so much!! Cascre, have you completed your ensuite? If so, do you have any pictures? I love those black tiles. Thanks, Thanks for the suggestion. The space between shower and sinks was too tight. I agree about the toilet location. So I have tried two other options: The lower one is… 3 6128 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 11829 |
