Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jan 10, 2009 2:57 pm We had our appointment at the tile shop this morning to make some colour selections. We were able to bring home a few ssamples. I would love to hear your thoughts on our selections. None of these are set in stone yet as there is another shop we would loke to look at, but this is what we have so far.

The ensuite will have this gorgeous dark rectangle tile with the green glass feature. The main bathroom will have the above floor tile in a smaller size, white wall tiles and the same glass feature tiles but in browns and white. I have no idea what colour I would paint the walls, they are painted burlup beige at the moment but we will have to paint the extension so don't mind repainting it all. I am a little hesitant to go with the Antique White as a friend used white in her kitchen and complains about the join where the laminex meets the edging stuff, hers has dirt in it that she can't get out and it makes that area stand out. I am also worried that the tile may be a little dark, although it will be in open, well lit spaces. We have a very light tile at the moment and I really want to go with something different, just not sure what. I do like this tile. Any feedback would be appreiciated, I am hopeless with colour stuff and seeing the big picture. Thanks, Andrea Re: Tile, benches and benchtop selection, what do you think? 2Jan 10, 2009 3:27 pm I think the colours look great - in fact, the grey is exactly what i'm looking for - for our bathrooms & laundry, with white wall tiles.
What make/colour is it if you don't mind me asking??? We are also looking at white for our kitchen, and as I'm sure you'll be finished before us, look forward to seeking pics! Re: Tile, benches and benchtop selection, what do you think? 3Jan 10, 2009 4:31 pm I’d have to say this selection.

We are still a bit worried it could be a bit dark, going to get some other samples and bring home. We do love the depth of colour in that tile though.
I really like the Stipple Seal colour for the cupboards, but we have just realised that the tile and stipple seal are very similar and this would look too much with the lower cupboards. I do likethe Oyster Linea, is there any other colour lamenix that you would suggest to go with that floor tile? Thanks Andrea color choices 7Jan 12, 2009 5:38 pm We are doing nearly identical colors as you. We are also doing ice snow for the bench top, we are using "shadow" for our cupboards which looks the same as stipple seal but we are doing our walls in Natural white (dulux) and we thought the antique white was a bit yellow. I think our floor tiles may be what yours are too (although a little browner as you mention). Re: Tile, benches and benchtop selection, what do you think? 8Jan 12, 2009 9:00 pm Hi Ellylash, lovely selections - the floor tile is very nice.
I am having stipple seal on our benchtops in bath and laundary. My only question is (and maybe Michelle or someone with colour sense might be able to help) is Stipple Seal a light brown colour? I have stared at my sample so long I am going cross eyed! Thanks Kylie handover happened 15/6/09...love living on an acre but still so much to do! Re: Tile, benches and benchtop selection, what do you think? 9Jan 12, 2009 9:11 pm Hi Ellyash - selections look great. Also very similar to ours - we are having stipple seal on underbench cupboards, polar white on overheads and essa stone purity ( the most white of their range) on the benchtop.
kyiee81 - i would say it is a grey/brown. Where I have seen it installed it looks more grey to me, seems to take on surrounding tones. Hi Kaiser85, We are building with Firstyle Homes.
