Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jan 09, 2009 7:11 pm Hi there, just wanted some opinions on my kitchen colours, i do have a thread in the kitchen section too, but just really wanted colour opinions.
Which of these two would you go for? This one, kindly coloured by smartpack Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Or this one, by d@n, thought i did change the colour of two of the cupboards to white Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is our wall colour but in half strength Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We have a brown braid colour for feature walls in lounge and dining also. We will also be having a dark brown wooden venetian blinds for the window in the kitchen Would love opinions please....very undecisive here Re: which one would you pick? 2Jan 09, 2009 7:23 pm No-one will agree but I like the second one....because it is a bit different, I like the sudden stop of one material and the beginning of the new. In my eye the left not the right, it looks more interesting. Re: which one would you pick? 6Jan 09, 2009 8:54 pm I prefer the 1st one, but would like the long cupboard to the left of the fridge in dark colour. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Re: which one would you pick? 7Jan 09, 2009 9:09 pm I like the first one, the dark pantry is going to pull the space in. Re: which one would you pick? 14Jan 10, 2009 9:54 am If the kitchen was a lot larger, I would like the second one.. but the original way (2 cupboards not white).
For your kitchen ( with its size), I would definately say pic 1.. -Sha Re: which one would you pick? 15Jan 10, 2009 10:09 am thanks so much for your input, i had a very shocking night...all i could think about was my kitchen LOL , I'm sure many or most of you have been there before with one thing or another. I am leaning towards the top one now, after also considering having small children, the dark colour might be much better below with the white at top.I am also thinkiing if i go dark down the bottom i will have no stainless kicker, just the same colour as the cupboards.
Thanks again, you have all been helpful, you make me think of things i hadn't thought about. I am just so worried about making a wrong decision and being stuck with it. Anyway, i had three kids with me so decided it would be best to pay another visit with quiet time Re: which one would you pick? 19Jan 10, 2009 6:02 pm toni Also not sure re the white tiles....do they stay white white? does anyone have white and found over time they have yellowed or anything? cheers If you have light grout then it will discolour. I am not sure how effective sealants are, someone else might be able to answer that. I have small children and I have gone for dark down the bottom and creamy white at the top for our new house. At the moment I have all white cupboards and I am tired of forever wiping the dirty marks off them!! I prefer option 1 out of your 2 pics.
